Continuous flow and automated product handling, pre- and post terminal sterilization
Since 2006, we are a global partner to Getinge providing integrated solutions for the sterilization processes, linking pre- and post processes with terminal sterilizers/autoclaves, thus allowing the customer to buy a turn-key solution from one supplier. The solution creates an automated and continuous flow from an upstream system, automated organization on trays and racks, automated loading using rack conveyors, (push/pull unit interfacing the sterilizer if required), through terminal sterilization/autoclave, automated unloading and destacking and onwards to downstream systems such as an inspection and packaging system.

Standardized modules built into a tailor-made solution
The system is built by standardized modules:
- Rack and tray system for different types of products and pay load.
- Robotics to organize and de-stack products on trays and racks.
- Conveying of products and racks (with buffering) including interfacing with production lines.
- Interface to the sterilizers, e.g. push / pull units.
- RFID / barcode solutions for product identification and traceability.
- Control system, with interfaces to surrounding systems.

The concept is developed for the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry, and is thereby designed to meet GMP requirements and to give a paperless, CFR 21 part 11 compliant productions with Electronic Batch Records. Our work methodology, based on ISPE's GAMP guideline, starts with a conceptual design study based on lean manufacturing tools, through project execution and after sales and 24/7 support, ensures correct functionality and a successful project implementation.
